Christhepilgrim (31) from Manchester, England, Bolton
About me
Im looking to broaden my circle of friends to include more people my own age. I came to Bolton 3yrs ago for University, and as such most of my friends are 18-22. I love to let my hair down, both out in Manc and at home. I love to entertain people. I share my huge house with three other guys, and frequently have a house full of people, so it looks like a bomb site. My housemates include two goons, and we have a passion for fine wine & cigars. I smoke heavily, and sport a decreasing beer gut. I also run a startup tech company as Managing Director so I frequently have no time to do anything, and when I can I often have to change my plans at the last minute. I have been told I am exceptionally loyal, sensitive and caring and an excellent friend, but some people will believe anything.

About me
- Where I liveI live in a cottage in a small valley outside Bolton, surrounded by trees with my own postcode.
- Where are you originally from?Liverfuckingfool.
- Do you want to stay there? My business currently binds me to the North West, and I intend to share a larger house in a more rural location with friends in the future. Need a pool.
- What is your occupation?I'm MD of a startup tech company dealing in Post - Production and Production kit. We have a community ethos, and work in both conventional commercial areas and also in not for profit community based arts projects. We're expanding at the moment.
- What have you done so far?Soldier, Sailor, Tinker, Never Been a Tailor, IT Engineer, Production Manager, Fluffer (lies), Bar Manager, Security Consultant & Sysop.
- What are your future plans? My life is, as always, in a constant state of flux. I crave challenges, and have hopped into and out of self employment a few times. I am however starting to slow down, and am looking for a shady spot out of the sun to finally grow some moss.
- Your perfect partnerPatient, Accepting, Compassionate, Foxy.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?I love to drive, love festivals & the countryside. A day without trees is like a day without sunshine. Luckily all I have to do is walk out onto my drive. I'm a bit of a hippy.
- MusicTough question. I hate pop. Other than that everything from classical through house to rock and then onto metal. Currently playing while I've completed this profile has been Coldplay, Orbital, Bong Ra, 3 Inches of Blood, Bobby Womack, Iron Maiden, Aim, Pendulum and on iTunes now is Driftacid by Zion Train.
- Your fav tv seriesIm not here for dating really, and I dont have a TV, so its the Sopranos sat in my lazyboy with a glass of wine and a cigar.
- Your fav books/authorsI read a lot of non-fiction, recently I've been enjoying Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene, but I also love gonzo journalism and the 60s psychadelic movement.
- What sort of movies do you like?I have been known to help make the odd film, and my film tastes are wide and varied. My one and only onscreen role is here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-UfFU2pqpA
- Types of people you like?I tend to feel most comfortable with outgoing but reserved people, mature souls who can party hard or work hard. However the anally retentive need not even bother.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Bright intelligent people, preferably women with curves.
- FoodI have a wide and varied taste in food, and view eating as a pleasure and wherever possible a social event. My favorite type of food is chinese, and I like healthy options wherever possible, but they have to taste nice. Taste is the key.
- DrinksAfter many years of heavily abusing my body with intoxicants, I have settled down to a 'drink' now and then. By which I mean once a week.
- HolidaysI prefer holidays with entertainment, such as festivals, and like to travel around the UK as much as I like to travel overseas.
- PetsI'm pretty animal neutral, but prefer dogs. Oh wait ....
- Fav thingMy Purple Audi A4.
- Fav PlaceMy bath. I love my bath.
My attitude
- Family lifeIm an old fashioned bastard englishman. I like the idea of 2.4 children, loving wife and assorted pets. But on the flipside, should my business activities quieten down, I'd be quite happy to play stay at home father while my wife worked. This is a major change in my outlook, one which has occured over the last two years.
- Jobs&WorkingI'm a Managing Director, so my work has a large place in my life. I intend to work my fingers to the bone for the next 10 years to ensure that my future is as convenient as possible. I've worked hard all my life to get here and I'm in my endgame now. I want to be semi-retired at 45.
- MoneyMoney is a big preoccupation of mine. My family never had any, now they do. It's making that money make money so we can all put our feet up.
- PoliticsI'm a patriot, but not a bigot. I've developed a colour blindness which prevents me from seeing ethnicity, and a lifestyle blindness which prevents me from prejudice based on life choices. I do however love my country and its pure shared ideals..... Wierd eh ? I'm fiscally conservative and socially interventionist, am broadly anti-european yet treasure a Europe without Frontiers. I absolutely believe in freedom of speech and believe the only way to remove the sting from prejudice is to make a joke out of it, and its originator. Racism is my pet hate, and anti-semitism is the easiest way to get my boot up your arse.
