- Where I liveI live somewhere around Manchester, Bolton, Wigan area. I think it is officially classed as Wigan but only 200m away from one of those "Welcome to Salford" signs.
- Where are you originally from?Originally from Wigan area.
- Do you want to stay there?I would prefer to live in the following places, in order of realistically being able to do this.... 1) City centre apartment in Manchester 2) A place in Seville (Spain) 3) A place in Florida
- What is your occupation?I'm an Engineer but I like to think I'm not one of the dull sort. It's actually realistically engineering management that I'm involved in. I work quiet a lot for the following reasons, 1) I like my job 2) I'm on a nice salary with overtime 3) I want a house in Spain or Florida!
- What have you done so far?Worked in my current job for nearly 7 years now. Before that I worked in a restaurant for 5 years, before that I was the best paper boy in my area.
- What are your future plans?Get high up in my profession and earn enough money to own a house outright (mortgage paid off). Then jack my job in and become a skydiving instructor which would be a lot less money but infinitely more enjoyable. Ideally sell everything over here to do it abroad (Seville or Florida again!) Oh I should probably say settle down with a nice girl too etc......
- Your perfect partnerI've just seen how many more questions I've got to answer after this one so I'm probably going to start typing a little less now. Perfect partner would be around my height, chatty but not naggy, caring, affectionate, cuddly, touchy feely, romantic, loyal, has her own life / independence and respects mine, likes varied music. I'm not actually fussy, as long as she's a down to earth girl who can make me smile then I'd be happy.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?I'm into skydiving, a lot! Other than that I suppose I like gadgets, spending money on stuff I really don't need, films and music.
- MusicInto all kinds of music, very wide taste. Don't go to gigs / festivals though as none of my friends do. Wouldn't mind going to some though. I like rock / indie music, Green Day, Kaiser Chiefs, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Little Man Tate, The Cranberries....... Dance music, especially old school 1990 to 1996 kind of stuff. The Prodigy all the way, would love to see them live. Faithless, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk....... Pop, not cheesy kiddy pop, stuff like Lilly Allen, Kate Nash, K T Tunstall, Maroon 5...... Drum & Bass, not chavvy stuff though, theres actually some nice melodic tunes out there as well as stuff like Pendulum Pretty much anything but Country & Western. Country is fine, Western is tolerable but put them both together and it's awful.
- Your fav tv seriesI like anything funny on the TV. Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Catherine Tate Show etc... Life on Mars was cool, anything to do with Gordon Ramsey I cant miss. The only soap I watch is Eastenders.
- Your fav books/authorsTend to read skydiving magazines than novels as I prefer to listen to music than read novels. I did however like the books that Dan Brown wrote, The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons and Digital Fortress.
- What sort of movies do you like?Damn I'm getting bored now, ight have to come back to this next week. Anything funny, Superbad, Reno 911, Team America, Hot Shots, Airplane, Monty Python.... Ocean's 11, Ocean's 12 and oh yes you've guessed it Ocean's 13. The Die Hard series, James Bond films........
- Types of people you like?Someone who is open and honest, sticks to their opinions, knows how to have fun. Someone who doesn't judge people without getting to know them first, who isn't aggresive or argumentative etc....
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Isn't this the same as the ideal date question and the one above?
- FoodI love food, I wouldn't eat anything else.
- DrinksI don't drink much unless I'm out at the weekend as I cant drink if I'm working in the morning. I like beer / lager and prefer to stay away fom things like WKD and sweet sugary stuff unless it's a shot.
- HolidaysI love going away, try to get away 3 times a year. Due to skydive training I've just been going to Florida and Spain for the last three years but would like to go to the following places in order of preference 1) Italy 2) Japan 3) Australia 4) California 5) South Africa
- PetsI love cats but also like dogs. I like anything furry and cute that shows affection.
- Fav thingMy parachute rig.
- Fav PlaceFlorida.
- What's your favourite radio station ?Radio 1
- What's your favourite tv station ?The Dave channel, or channel Dave or whatever it should be caled. Loads of repeats of funny shows.
- What's your favourite drink?Guinness or Brown Ale
- What's your favourite food?Chinese, Italian then Indian in that order.
- What are your favourite activities?Skydiving, going to the cinema, going out on the town.
My attitude
- Family lifeReally don't know yet. Would be nice to eventually settle down with someone I like but that's years down the line. Not got set thoughts on marriage either way, would be happy knowing that we loved each other without getting married. But if the other person would want to get married then I'd be happy also, I just don't see any significnt up or down sides to it. Think it is more a religious thing than anything and I'm not religious.
- Jobs&WorkingI'm very career orientated because I have a lot of goals in life that need money, I do like my job as well.
- MoneyMoney means a lot to me as per the above question. I have my hobbies to pay for and my dream house in Florida to save up for! I like to be able to buy all the nicer things in life that make me happy as well as treat other people to things on special occassions.
- PoliticsTotally apathetic to politics. Whoever is in charge will do a good job in certain areas but fail in others. As long as a completely incompetent fckwit isn't put in charge it all balances itself out in the end. Politicians trying to get your vote is like you going for a job interview, many white lies can be told up front and then when your foot is in the door everything can change. For these reasons I don't vote yet.
